Vintage Big Blue Cooler Story

The Big Beautiful Blue Cooler I have , drags my attention on few things which we overlook many a times , two of them are so imperative in this Corona Kaal !!
1) Have long term perspective about things which come in our life
Invest in things ..
This cooler is bought way back in 2007 , the very first month when I was tied in nuptial cords . Since then this cooler has been our companion at 4 different places we have moved in last 13 years .
For first 6 years it was our ManToGo kind of stuff in scorching & prolonged hot summer of Delhi .
But as all good things in life loose their utility or purpose not in themselves but in minds of we humans who own them .. (why does this happen since ages ?? May be because humans have a trait called being opportunist !!) this happened with this cooler also .
The owner thought now we have our own house fitted with ACs in each room hence I dont need Cooler any more .. & It was junked in a corner in balcony
Now this year when Delhi Summer is back with vengeance, immediately I realized its time to go in comfort of Air Conditioners ..
As it turns out this year not only Mother Nature but both ACs in our home had an agenda to prove .. that they will give their rolyale service only after proper PoojaPath to be observed by a certified mechanic .. In this Lockdown Mechanics / Plumbers / Electricians class of people have virtually disappeared from NCR why ( That's another tragic story for some other day ) ....
So now what ?$#% Point 2 comes to play & ultimately to my rescue ..
2) Better half in life always takes better calls almost all times
What we bought in year 2007 was for Good 10000 INR , I was never OK with such high spend especially when it was about a cooler ! .. Seriously who will spend 30% of monthly household income in very next month of your marriage that too in a product which is of use for just 4 months in a year .. ?
So we had quiet an argument before reaching to any agreement & when I used my Veto of IndainMaleEgo , my better half played her best card which was - just 3 months before , which is 2 months prior to our marriage I had bought a cooler of around 4500 INR which did not last even full 90 days and now the sole reason of our argument ...
Realizing that the argument has been lost big time , I surrendered to her wish or command and brought home this Big Beautiful Blue Cooler
Every year at the end of Summer Season Dipti makes it a point to properly pack the cooler after giving it a ceremonial service from a certified mechanic & as it turns out same practice of her acted as a boon this year !!!
When ACs did not give their service to us this Blue Cooler came to our rescue . We a family of 3 are being looked after by this Cooler so well that , at mid night we need to switch it off .. because it starts to freeze our room !!
An item bought 13 years ago consuming 1/3rd of household income , proved itself as a BigBrother against items which are 3 times than its cost that too in such crucial time of Scorching Hot summer
Circa 2020 summer , when my ACs are still not functional , the same Big Beautiful Blue Cooler is helping a family of 3 so well that we are eternally thankful to God for blessing this cooler in our life & I m thankful to 1 things -..
Myself , why ?- that without bringing IndianMaleEgo in between , I agreed to her decision on Cooler purchase
2 quick learning for self in this Crucial Corona Kaal !
Invest on things/thoughts/people _ which at times might cause stress or discomfort in short term
