Black Lives Matter: From "Cause" to "Controversy and Oblivion"?

A social movement, whose genesis is as old as US history since 1783. With so many cult personalities raising their voice in favour, finally 236 years after freedom; a black person became US president... Still the friction among society persists and erupts very often.

What's the Need for this movement

Land of Life,liberty and pursuit of happiness can go so wrong? Historically people from Afro American origin has always been at receiving end in USA, even after the nation has seen so much of prosperity. 

Reasons- Poor education, which leads to the next roadblock lesser opportunities, low income, large families and high crime rate observed among Afro American class. 

Who is Responsible

Hypocrisy of missionary which has its origin in Europe. October 12, 1492 when Christopher Columbus set foot in the America but not by choice but accident, as he was suppose to land INDIA!! To save his embarrassment to the royale court back in Spain he disclosed his real find after his second trip to America. From the very start they treated indigenous Red Indian with utter brutality which instead of tapering down further aggravated with the Afro-American farm worker.  

What is the New Movement About

#BlackLivesMatter was founded by three radical black organizers - Alicia Garza, Patrisse Kahn Cullors and Opal Tometi; in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. 

The movement which is often sparked by the death of unarmed Afro-American lives have brought the public consciousness and conversation at the center table. This movement has very concrete ideology which  is not restricted to any particular nationality , race and advocates equality among lives across gender spectrum involved not  is not a recent phenomenon , but the sudden, sustained and dramatic eruption post the brutal assault and killing of George Flyod is difficult to comprehend. Especially in middle of  COVID-19  pandemic when social distancing and lock-down  has been proved as the only remedy for now,  still such mass gathering of people has much more in store than what meets the eye .

Across the United States, there have been more than 4700 demonstrations, or an average of 140 per day, since the first protest began in Minneapolis on May 26, according to a Times analysis. the protests have ranged from dozens to tens of thousands in about 2500 small towns and large cities.

In rush of emotions this catchy # campaign sounded a perfect recipe to make sumptuous buffet of mean purposes by the people, who seems to be little loyal to the cause of marginalized community  but more loyal to the sinister plot of their masters! 

A  sequence of events  in combination or otherwise also looks reason for wide and prolonged reach. 

Conspiracy Theory-

China trying to reverse the narrative

Since 1989 China has had enough of USA's bashing up in the name of  poor human right score card by often bringing this matter at global arena. This mutual animosity reached to the new climax when US propagated China as the originator and distribution center of deadly virus across the globe. 

The rising cases of COVID and Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement happening in same time is more than just a coincidence. China's support to the movement is aimed at scoring many goals with just one stick. With USA failed to contain the COVID disease spread at its home turf even after having ample time and resources was quiet a embarrassment for american government and people at large. 

As if this is What China has been waiting since long and it left no opportunity to become the real propagator of the #BlackLivesMatter movement by using its media power in social platforms and funding the various civil rights groups across the globe. Else how one can think of BLM movement being celebrated in India South Korea Japan Australia in particular where there is almost negligible existence of people of the particular color. Contrary to this in India, many people from this color are found in organised crimes of digital frauds, narcotics etc, and has often been charged and convicted in few cases .

 US president election- 

Since the Trump came at white house, USA has been doing somewhat reasonable good job both domestic and in foreign policy as well. 

Under #MakeAmericaGreatAgain theme many of the economy pillars has been performing well after decades of peril from manufacturing, oil, defense sector. Just before the outbreak of COVID-19 in Feb 2020, Unemployment rate has touched its 20 years lowest! 

In foreign policy has been creating ripples as heavy as his name..

He has staged a coup by having 2 rounds face to face meeting with ever elusive North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. He did not stop just there.. Another was by shifting the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem..Last but not the least is creating a landmark shift in middle east politics by establishing the diplomatic relations between Israel and UAE.

The tremendous work managed by Trump has created kind of panic situation in Democratic party and it is likely that Trump will come back to white house post November presidential election.

To distract and tarnish his image in general public, left leaning Democratic party had been smelling every possible opportunity since long. The isolated but equally deplorable event of George Flyod killing was grabbed as an opportunity to mobilize the cadres.

So a non political #BLM movement has been made a political issue, which I strongly believe, to the contrary of democratic belief will further polarize the Trump bastion of white and conservative vote class and will him re-election..

Russian Agenda

The century old race of supremacy could act as another fuel to this fire. US has been taking beating in many fronts from few countries for quiet some time now . Supremacy in these fronts were achieved by the virtue of globalization and free economy & this same virtue is being used by competing nations to give taste of its money and they are pretty successful in this. 

COVID-19 was one such catastrophe, finding a vaccine could have put USA back in the spotlight and do some damage control to its tarnished image of losing power. but as the famous saying goes by Misfortunes never come alone/singly. – मुसीबत कभी अकेले नहीं आती instead of playing a role of a leader, US was found doing weird press briefs, president was found advocating HCQ (Hydroxychloroquine) from India.!

I have a strong hunch that Instigating BLM movement to such large and violent level is handiwork of countries like Russia in order to divert the attention of US federal government instead of focusing on critical COVID-19 vaccine.

The protests may also getting fuel from being a country that is more conditioned to protesting. The highly inflammable stand that the Trump administration has taken on issues like guns control, climate change and immigration has led to protests much more than under any other presidency since the Cold War.

Besides the spike in demonstrations on Juneteenth, the number of protests has fallen considerably over the last three weeks according to the Crowd Counting Consortium.

The amount of change that the protests have been able to produce in such a short period of time is significant. In Minneapolis, the City Council pledged to dismantle its police department. In New York, lawmakers repealed a law that kept police disciplinary records secret. Cities and states across the country passed new laws banning choke-holds. Mississippi lawmakers voted to retire their state flag, which prominently includes a Confederate battle emblem.

The global outrage seen in remote areas far away from Minneapolis was little perplexing. Had this been a peaceful protest things would have looked normal. With globalization touched almost all countries barring North Korea, some of its ill effects are visible in environment, labor laws, great divide between ultra rich and ultra poor. These conditions are conducive for germination of left ideology. 

The left has historically associated with the movements like republicanism,socialism,communism,civil rights movements,feminist movements,anti-war movements, and even environment movements.

Violence erupted in Europe was very unusual. I mean the African  people have been assimilated so well in the fabric of whites after they had to flee their countries for various reasons i.e internal wars repeat famines. Morocco, Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria are few such countries from many. And how these people have reciprocated by leaving no opportunity to make violence, arsenal and rampage.

Seeing India Through Black Lives Matter - The Hoax   

Essentially India should not had linkage with this BLM movement, still the left intellectuals drew the parallel of CAA/NRC with this movement. This class of scaremongers has been picking up each and every issue even with a teentsy of nationalist falvour and blow this out of proportion in completely different context. This hue cry has gone loud since the rise of nationalist power at the federal level as well in majority of state governments.

Just before COVID-19 hit Indian shores Anti CAA/NRC sentiments were at a boiling but losing end. Even after the best efforts put by the divisive forces to give it a color of religion specific. But then COVID-19 came and these ranks & files were on the run for their lives and whole sinister plot met its natural death. 

BLM movement was seen as a cozy import to fan the global sentiments in their favor. Few of the socialites and media personalities also lapped this movement to get share of their two minute fame. Not realizing that this act of their is actually doing more harm to them instead.

#ICAN'TBREATHE is the tag they used to draw the attention of the world to the so called atrocities committed by current government on the name of CAA/NRC.

India is a land which has rich a heritage of over 4000 years, a land which has been plundered countless times by the muggers from far lands; still holds very firm the principles of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्  

अयं निजः परो वेति गणना लघुचेतसाम् ।

 उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् ॥ (महोपनिषद्, अध्याय ४, श्‍लोक ७१)

अर्थ - यह अपना बन्धु है और यह अपना बन्धु नहीं है, इस तरह की गणना छोटे चित्त वाले लोग करते हैं। उदार हृदय वाले लोगों की तो (सम्पूर्ण) धरती ही परिवार है।

A civilization, which has always shown the world the path of peace and equality can not let such baseless thoughts and provocations germinate in its land and like many agendas with no substance, this campaign faded in maze of obscurity!! 

Present State of #BlackLivesMatter- 

The social issue which has its origin since the very foundation of USA had come to the forefront of global media with the tragic and inhumane death of George Flyod. But with the violent and political turn this movement has taken, might have far reaching negative consequences both on social and national level in USA in particular. 

Situation at ground has not moved much specially considering the demands and holla! that was created in the initial days of the movement post May 25, 2020 event. 

Contrary, if the Trump is back in power in November re-election things might reverse back.

Another very gentle undercurrent might be seen in regards to the refugees of African descendant, who has been adopted with much compassion and frankness by the European countries in last 3 decades.

With Economy of these nations under tremendous stress due to the COVID-19 couple with Right wing political parties gaining voice nd traction in many countries life of people from African origin will be seen under tight  scrutiny.
